Lawyer Basic Merrick Garland on Wednesday vowed to hold accountable anybody who was concerned within the lethal U.S. Capitol riot “at any stage.”
John Dean, the one-time counsel to Richard Nixon who later flipped on the then-president over the Watergate scandal, noticed that as a warning to former President Donald Trump and his allies.

Garland, amid criticism the Division of Justice is but to focus on organizers of the riot and has centered on the Trump supporters who entered the Capitol, promised “the actions now we have taken up to now is not going to be our final.”
“The Justice Division stays dedicated to holding all January six perpetrators at any stage, accountable underneath regulation, whether or not they have been current that day, or have been in any other case criminally liable for the assault on our democracy,” he stated. “We are going to comply with the details wherever they lead.”
