Conn. H.S. Hockey Participant Died After Skate Reduce Neck, Loss of life Dominated ‘Accident’

Connecticut highschool hockey participant Teddy Balkind tragically died after a skate reduce his neck throughout a sport final week … the Connecticut Workplace of the Chief Medical Examiner introduced Monday.

Officers formally dominated Balkind’s demise as an “accident” … revealing the trigger as an “incised wound of neck.”

Balkind was only a sophomore.

As we beforehand reported, the horrifying incident occurred throughout St. Luke’s sport vs. Brunswick College in Greenwich final Thursday … when authorities say Balkind fell to the ice and was by chance crashed into by an opponent.

In line with the Greenwich Police Division, Balkind was taken to the hospital … however died there from his accidents.

The 2 colleges expressed deep regret following the tragedy … with Balkind’s St. Luke’s college closing on Friday and reopening on Monday with a “particular schedule.”
